Learn the beautiful art of wood turning with our expert wood turning teacher, Hugo.
This wood turning workshop will get you hooked!
This is a 2 hour workshop which takes place over 2 weeks as a small group of 2 participants in Arrowtown.
Week 1 - you'll learn how to use the chisels and different techniques to shape wood on the lathe and how to operate the lathe safely.
Week 2 - You'll make a beginner level project, likely to be a spinning top.
Workshop dates
Wednesday night 27th November & 4th December at 5:45pm - 7:45pm (must attend both Wednesdays)
Saturday morning 30th November &7th December 9am - 11am (must attend both Saturdays)
After completing this 2 week workshop you will be able to book into the intermediate level workshop which will also take place over 2 weeks in a similar format, using the chisels to practise different techniques to make intermediate level projects.
From here you can advance to many more workshops! From pens, mugs, bowls, coasters and vases - the options are endless.
